I wrote this piece for the Journal of the American Dietetic Association just after 9/11. It was a piece for dietetics professionals who want to help out in times of disaster but don’t know how, or even how they can put their professional skills to use.
It was a hugely popular article and was handed out as a take-away during the American Dietetics Association (now The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) national conference for several years afterward.
