Recently I’ve been thinking about generations, and how every generation disdains the generation coming up. And every generation does this. Boomers’ parents did it to them, they did it to Gen X, Gen X and Boomers disdain Millennials, and maybe Millennials disdain Gen Z’ers. I don’t know. And the complaints have all sounded the same: “This new generation is flaky. They don’t like work.” And so on. But if every generation’s complaints about the next generation sound the same, maybe they’re…BS. I wrote this article exploring the so-called generation gap at work.
